About Ken Elkinson
Born August 28, 1972 in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, Ken Elkinson competed on the junior classical piano circuit as a child. After studying improvisation and composition throughout high school and college, Ken released his debut CD of solo piano entitled Midnight Conversation in 1996. Since then, Ken has released 4 additional original solo piano CD’s (Reverly, Opal, Cue and Link), a Christmas CD (Generations of Yuletide) and a cover song CD (Borrowed Tracks). In January 2011, Ken will release his most ambitious project yet – a 6 CD (3 double CD) box set of ambient music entitled Music For Commuting. Ranging from dark and droning, to upbeat and anthemic – the project contains 60 all original tracks in the vain of Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream. Ken’s music has received airplay on hundreds of radio stations, websites, satellite music and in-flight audio programs spanning the globe. Ken currently resides in Los Angeles.
