About Uzo Nzeka

noisy le sec, France

As a singer song-writer, I wish that the message in my music could respond to the needs of my audience world-wide. For they provide a base and a strong support that enabled me in writing this music, for their pleasure, as they constitute one of the great reasons why I sing and perform.

Biography

Uzo Nzeka, formaly known as Brother Ephraim, is no other than a Franco-Nigerian born. A powerful singer, song-writer, pianist, and a very good performing artist. 1966 was remarkable for Uzo Nzeka in Nigeria then, as it was the year his first debut album that sold million copies in six month, with such succesful titles as Take It Easy Baby, Love Me Till The End, Jane, Baby Of Mine And Pain in My Heart etc...

Moreover, these songs became a knock-out in the Nigerian Pop Scene, that year. Same year, accompanied by his group: THE JUNKERS, he performed as a support act with CHUBBY CHECKER the famous king of Twist, during his 1966 Nigerian tour, as it was also the twist era.

He also played side by side with MILICENT SMALL the author of the hit song My Girl Lolipop, during her 1966 African tour as well.
In fact, he is one of the foundung fathers of Nigerian Pop music. Latter in the 80's, he realized albums such as: Brother To Brother, produced Longing For Your Touch, distributed by CARRERE, Love Meditation distributed by DECCA RECORDS, Difference distributed by AFRODISIA RECORDS.
So you can see, he is not new to the game.

Latest of all, with THE REVIVERS, his new group in France, he also performed as a support act, with THE WAILERS, during their 2001 tour of France in tribute to BOB MARLEY, and for the promotion of THE WAILERS new album: Live In Jamaica.

The title "RASTA MAN" in his current recording, was the result of the emotional inspirations, occured during his Jamaican visit in homage, to the respectable king of reggae BOB MARLEY.
