About TRELOTTi

Wake Forest, NC

Born in Wilmington, NC (Port City) and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, right outside of Washington, DC, Trelotti grew up listening to popular rap music laced with GoGo beats, which is a musical style indigenous to the Washington, DC metropolitan area. His first love as a child was writing and reciting poetry for family and friends, which eventually evolved into rap.

What was initially a hobby at first, became a method of escape and comfort after his parents divorced. Feeling abandoned by his father, Trelotti submerged himself into music as a way to deal with the void. He became a self-made scholar of the craft and often participated in rap battles in the bathrooms and hallways of his middle and high schools. He eventually elevated his rap game to street battles, but ultimately, the street life became more appealing to him.

After being incarcerated for operating an illegal street pharmacy, Trelotti found himself once again tapping into the only constant element in his life—rap music. He used his time in solitude to perfect his craft, often performing rap shows for his cell block and the guards. He realized he had a gift when his cell mates would turn off their televisions and radios just to watch him perform.

When Trelotti was released from government camp, he began performing at local venues with local up and coming GoGo bands, but eventually found himself falling back into the street life. So to escape from the bad influences of the Washington , DC streets, he moved south to his birthplace, Wilmington , NC , also known as the Port City . There he met and began to collaborate with several untapped and talented local rappers and producers.

Determined to succeed in the rap game by any means necessary, Trelotti reunited with his father, who is now his manager, and established his own dirty south independent record label, Mask Muzik, which he will not only use to create, promote, and distribute his debut album, but will also use to expose the Port City’s untapped talent. Be on the lookout for Trelotti’s unique sound and delivery on his debut album, which is due to be released in the summer of 2010.
