About Suburb'N Boi

Waldorf, MD

Antonio Draughn, better known as Stylist aka Suburb N Boi, is a young aspiring Hip-Hop artist. Born in Hampton, Virginia, though he didn't realize his talent to entertain musically, until he got to Waldorf, Maryland. There he and his Cousin General formed a group I2D and began their musical careers while in high school. While in the music group I2D only being know as Stylist he easily separated himself from the others in the group. Known for his smooth and laid back voice you would always know when Stylist was on a track.

The group however was not progressing how he was expecting, so Stylist left I2D. For the first time, about 3 months after leaving the group he released his first mixtape, "Grind Time Vol. 1." That was officially the "jump-off of his career", as he refereed to it . He began to express his musical talent MySpace locally and had many followers and fans who supported the movement he was beginning to commence upon. Keeping very close ties with everyone he left, that was in I2D, he had many artist to collaborate with.

Stylist then ran into the one obstacle that every artist runs into at one point of their musical careers. " A Musical Dry Spell." A point where he needed to find himself as an artist, so he ended up taking a very long step back from his personal music career. That didn't keep him from helping his fellow artist though. He would still mix tracks and dish out ideas for others, but as far as making music, that was halted. Only until he went to college where things changed drastically

Upon moving to college, Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland he decided to make his comeback to his music career. So he did, recording MySpace hits in his dorm room became a weekend hobby, with his MySpace page reaching over 300,000 views and averaging over 1,000 plays a day, but something was still missing. In college he met a motivating yet held backed person named, Larry, whom he became close friends with. Larry who had adapted to the city life previously, could easily see that Stylist was a newcomer. Thus was the reason Larry gave him the nickname, "Suburb N Boi". From that day on, nobody in Baltimore called him by his first name, but by "Suburb n Boi".

With the new name came a new swag. A new artist was born Stylist aka Suburb N Boi. Having found his gimmick and who he was, he made his hit Mixtape entitled the "1st Quarter Mixtape". With hits like Throwin Money, Everyone Else, Nasty Girl, Get Gone, and more. He dropped the mixtape and within the first three days it hit the 1,000 download mark and that was big for him, seeing that he had just came back and had absolutely no promo's or anything of that nature. Currently his home still resides in Waldorf, Maryland and while living in Baltimore, attending Morgan State University he is working on two projects. The sequel to the "1st Quarter Mixtape" which is only on industry beats, "Grind Time Vol 2", look for that during the spring. And of course the "2nd Quarter Mixtape" which is already a year in the making and will be dropping in the summer of 2010. Look for Stylist aka Suburb'N Boi to explode in the near future. Many collaborations and shows coming.. stay tuned this story is far from finished!
