I am building a simple 6/dB per octave low pass filter in stomp box form. The idea is to tame the ice pick that comes from some single coils, split humbuckers, and wah pedals. It is going to have a rotary switch to select one of six cutoff frequencies. It's a completely passive design, and has true bypass. I am just trying to determine if any one would even be interested in one if i made it. I have to order all of the parts offline to get what i want, so it would be more cost effective to buy in bulk and only pay shipping for the whole order. But i don't need ten of them.
I figure i will sell them on ebay, but i want to know whether or not i should even bother. Tell me honestly, whats your opinion. Would it be useful? Would you be willing to pay about $75 bucks for it? My prototype works really well, but i need some better parts for the real thing. I will try to get a youtube video up and post a link to it, but i want to hear some opinions before i spend another dime on parts.
