J-King, Born Lindon Jr. Smith or L.J, May 5th 1994 always had a passion for music. Life was not easy growing up in the ghetto out-skirts of Jamaica's very own, Spanish Town, Kingston. at the age of 6, L.J was exposed to two main genres of music, Dancehall/reggae and Hip-Hop/RnB. even though dancehall and reggae were the only two genres that brought Jamaica to be the country that it is today, L.J always had a feel for Hip-Hop. At the age of 9, L.J moved to live in Toronto, ON,Canada with his father, step-mother, and 3 brothers to live a better and somewhat easier life. It was not until the age of 10 when L.J really started to get into the music. He would write music and freestyle to himself regularly, but he kept his talent to himself. At 11 L.J and his family moved to the city of Brampton, where he would have freestlye battles with friends and classmates. at age 13, L.J decided to take his talent and love for music seriously, he told his family about his talent and started writing and recording his 1st song Paper Planes Remix, during this time L.J went by the name of Young Junior, as he got a little older he realized the name was only cool when he was younger, at 14 he changed his name to J-King because the name fits his role and personality as a leader and very talented artist. At 15 J-King had a sudden interesting in producing. He made beats for himself as well as other young artist for free. Now 18 J-King is slowly climbing the charts and now known as one of Btown's well respected artists, with the support of his family and friends, J-King still dreams of being a superstar one day.
