About Ryan Jarman
Vancouver, Canada
Ryan was born on July 30th, 1979, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was described as a curious child, a dreamer and mischievous. Ryan's passion for music goes back to his early years, when at the age of five, he would dance around to music and would belt out Eagles and Kenny Rogers tunes.
Ryan began singing in choirs at the age of six, started writing poetry at the age of eight and taught himself how to play the guitar at the age of fourteen. He was an eager musician and he composed his first song in that first week after he learned how to play the guitar. As well, Ryan’s poetic works were published by the schools which he attended. Aside from music, in his youth Ryan also was involved with theatre, competed in two international karate tournaments, played baseball, tennis, and volleyball.
Ryan left home at the age of fourteen, and by the age of seventeen he was completely autonomous. Aside from his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, he has lived in Calgary, Alberta; Los Angeles, California; Santa Barbara, California and Vancouver, British Columbia, where he currently resides.
