Robert Banks

Robert Banks has garnered national and international recognition as a jazz bassist, he posses a gift for musical versatility that has allowed him to establish a commanding reputation in other musical styles. Banks has performed or recorded in the studio with many other great talents in the industry.

With a unique style and sound all his own, Robert is one of the hottest bass players around,
with a stage presence and performance energy that is second to none. Coupled with one of the hottest bands " Classic Edge" their performance is molded to perfection.

Born Robert Banks in Hayti, Mo the first audience he began captivating was the congregation of his church and later moved to Kansas and slowly perfected his gift in playing the 7 string bass.
Along with his accomplishments he has opened for Wayman Tisdale , Najee, Kirk Franklin, Zap & Rodger & many other great artist.

In addition to his passion for music, Banks has an intense fervor for youth.
He believes that young people can be impacted in positive ways through the power and hope of music.

He now resides in Oklahoma City and has began a work within his community working with youth and bringing music to life through the work of his studio " Positive Productions."
He has formed the band called " Classic Edge" and continues to give to the community and send out the message that Every Child can Be Reached !!
