Rachel Farley practically came into the world singing. Her first solo performance was at 5 years old for a crowd of approximately 1000 people of whom she wowed with her rendition of the National Anthem. From that point on, Rachel knew she wanted to perform. Since then, she has not stopped. She had a video that chosen in CMT’s top 64 out of a huge number of submissions for their Music City Madness contest. Her video was on the show Music City Madness, the Road to Nashville which broadcast on December 3rd, 2007.
She is the 2007 GCGMA Songwriter of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, CD of the year and Most Promising Vocalist of the Year. She recently played at the World’s Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee and is playing all around Georgia. Rachel was a finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown in Auburn, Alabama as well as a top 5 vocalist and top child actor in the national talent convention, Talent Rock.
Rachel lucked out earlier this year and met up with Grammy nominated producer/songwriter, Jayne Olderman and has been working with her and has plans to continue cowriting songs with Jayne. Keep an eye out for Rachel to become a real Nashville player. She is currently doing some work with Keith Thomas who has worked with many great artists including, but not limited to, Rissi Palmer, Amy Grant, Whitney Houston, Be Be and Ce Ce Wynans, Vanessa Williams, Reba McEntyre, and Faith Hill.
When she is not singing country music, you can find Rachel on a few Atlanta Professional Theatre stages. This year she has played Robin in Godspell, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Eller in Iron Moon, ensemble role in Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s, Evita and played the role of the Bard in A Child’s Christmas in Wales in the 2007 holiday season.
