About Pocket Satellite

Chesterfield, United Kingdom

Pocket Satellite was born after a chance meeting at an open mic night, over a hot chocolate, on a quiet Thursday evening in Sheffield. With 5 members from 4 cities, playing 15 instruments, they recorded their first EP 'Toy Train' in 2009, which was inspired by their discovery of an antique glockenspiel. Their second EP 'Paper Aviator' has just been released to a sell-out crowd at Camden's Bull and Gate.

They have re-recorded the title track of Toy Train at the Roundhouse EMI studios, working with producer Kevin Paul and sound engineer Steven Weston as part of the 30/30 Roundhouse project. They have played at a number of prestigious venues such as the Camden Barfly, and headlined the inaugural Lemonade Live upcoming artists showcase at Bush Hall. They have supported Jenny Owen Youngs at Monto Water Rats and recently supported Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Admiral Fallow.

Their music has also been featured on BBC 2's 'The Cut' and provided the soundtrack for the Hush Autumn/Winter shoot video.
