MoonSnake is a lively all-female pop band based in Switzerland. The band's style is defined by
original songs which focus on critical modern themes and are influenced by the musicians’ wide range of experience. Their music takes elements from styles as diverse as rock, folk, bossa nova, reggae, blues and jazz, and integrates them firmly and distinctly into a pop setting. This creates a multicolored
musical tapestry which is easy to love. The addition of three-part vocal harmonies and an electric Celtic harp make MoonSnake unforgettable.
The band has had some success: Their song “Freedom” was placed on a UK compilation CD which
was presented on MTV Europe (August ’07, on the shows “Spanking New Music” and “Gonzo with Zane Lowe”). The song reached place 32 on Australia's ILR Radio "World Indie Top 40" charts. The
CD is available for sale internationally from iTunes, Amazon, etc. They were also invited to perform at SongFest, a songwriter’s festival in Ireland (November 2008) including a live radio interview.
MoonSnake's many performances have also included numerous parties, pubs, clubs and festivals in Switzerland. The band’s lyricist has won an award for her work (Finalist, Lyric Writer's Contest, We Are Listening, Oct. 2008).
