About Mishti
Thornwood, NY
Mishti is a singer/guitarist/drummer and songwriter with a diverse span of influences, from Blues to Experimental, Rock to Soul, & everything in between.
She is a prominent bandleader and soloist in the Westchester (NY) scene. Her distinct vocal and songwriting style has been compared to everyone from Jeff Buckley to Nina Simone to Sinead O'Connor. She picked up the guitar at 12 after hearing Slash and since has used blues greats such as Albert King and Freddie King as well as Irish and Jewish traditional music to form her own unique voice and tone.
She is currently at work on her first full-length album due out this summer.
