About Melo Bakale

Madrid, Spain

This artist, thanks to his triumph in the Andalusian Radio-Television (RTVA) contest “Cazatalentos”, was able to record his first CD “Melo Bakale”, of which 8,000 copies were sold. He was the opening act of El Arrebato on their 2005 Tour and also formed part of the Spanish Top 40 Tour “Zona 40” that same year.

“Mil Razones” was the single with which he entered into the main Spanish hitlists (40 Principales, Dial, Cadena 100, 40 Latino, 40tv, Sol Música, Canal Fiesta, i-tunes of which he was in the top 5).

Melo strove to give color and form to the songs which were going around in his head, recording a demo and presenting it to the RTVA “Cazatalentos”. His song, “Cerveza y Caracoles” went wild. Produced by Ludovico Vagnone (Alejando Sanz, Sergio Dalma, Ketama, Efecto Mariposa, etc…), the result of his first CD was 11 intimate songs, cruel realities of love and falling out of love, both his experiences and those of the lives around him, which took form and rhythm of elegant and vigorous pop rock, mixed and eclectic. Quality. Carmelo Villar (RTVA)

“Juego a Mirarte” is a way to look in the real mirror of live, emerge ourselves in the street games of kids which show the cleanness of the soul, and their look on life.

Melo Bakale offers pieces of heaven drizzled with visions of both hope and sadness. His game is to win us over by singing hard those thoughts from pen and paper, music which makes us feel caressed by mother’s hands and moves us to be revolutionaries in the search for hope. A.T.
