Matt James

Matt James, a former hard rock/metal drummer from Burnsville, MN, is now an accomplished Country musician/singer/songwriter who has played with a variety of well known National artists like Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger), Fergie Frederiksen (Toto), Brian Bart (Dareforce), Jason McMasters & Danny Aaron (Dangerous Toys) Teri Tims (Onyxx) etc...

Matt played drums for the metal band "DOWNSIDE OF TRUTH" for many years and has the title of being one of the best all around drummers from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, winning multiple Guitar Center Drum Offs, and numerous awards. It has gained him a great reputation, and countless offers from many artists to be included in their projects. His last band was the Minneapolis based hard rock act NATIONAL OVERDRIVE who has finished there EP "Welcome to the Nation" and the advanced single "Motivator" spent 3 months on the MWR Top 20 Charts. "Welcome to the Nation'" hits 300+ radio stations across the US as of Tuesday April 5, 2011 with the release of digital downloads in the weeks soon after that. NATIONAL OVERDRIVE has also charted at #3, #21 and #25 on the CMJ.

Matt currently is in the process of writing and recording a solo Country album with various artists, entitled "Coming Home" which is to be released this Winter 2012 from his label Osiris Records.
