About Liam McDonald
Great Falls, VA
Hi my name is Liam McDonald. I'm an aspiring singer/songwriter from the far north east region of Australia from a town called Cairns. My style is mostly easy going and laid back. I grew up fishing on the Great Barrier Reef, relaxing in the Daintree Rainforest and chillin at the beach.
My big influences in music would have to be Ben Harper, Nick Drake, John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd and Donovan Frankenreiter. I only play acoustic, not a fan of the electric, I just prefer that percussion/acoustic sound. I don't pretend to be an outstanding guitarist though I do believe in writing true songs.
I often close my eyes when I play because I get lost in the song., for me its almost a spiritual experience and I have a hunger for that feeling.
