Born July 7th in Bellevue, Nebraska LaTasha was raised in a family of musicians. Singing in church since the mere age of two, she was determined to become a powerful singer & songwriter & with love, help & support from her family & friends she is well on her way.
Influenced by artist such as her Mother, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Donny Hathaway, Michael Jackson & Luther Vandross, LaTasha Ann'toinette describes her sound as classic. Transforming her poetry into lyrics , LaTasha uses writing as a personal outlet. " My music is heart-felt". I want to share realistic experiences with my audience. I sing about situatons I or others close to me have witnessed first hand. I would describe it as.."honest soul".
In addition to her addictive vocals, LaTasha Ann'toinette has extensive stage experience, choreography skills & a list of notable accomplishments. In 2006, she was chosen to open for Lil'Romeo at the DC Convention Center in Washington, DC. LaTasha delivered a memorable performance in 2007 at Howard University's Homecoming R&B Show as the opening act chosen to open for Avant & Marsha Ambrosa from Floetry. She is the 2008 1st place winner of the Maryland, DC, & Virginia artist showcase competitionm where she outshines contestants. She has performed at various events & nightclubs.
Recently her single"Sugar Honey" was featured on DC's #1 adult contemporary radio station, 96.3 whur. LaTasha also has recently opened for Que of Bad Boy's group Day 26. She also finished in the top 10 for the region in the Andre Harrell Super Star Soul Search.
With the drive for excellence & the determination to rise above adversity, LaTasha Ann'toinette is a sultry singer with a promising career ahead of her. When asked how music makes her feel she responds, "Music makes me feek liberated... It gives my voice meaning. I have the ability to share my deepest thoughts & emotions with the world.
