Hey guys, welcome to my world. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Otis (Keenan Ivor) Price , I'm a young starving artist residing in Washington D.C.. My love for music begin since I could remember, at the young age of 5 I was given a small guitar, and a miniature keyboard, as just toys, which they were, until my mom & dad noticed my gift to play by ear. I guess u can say they were my first investors in the music game, and one of the many reasons I push on now. I think I was nine when I began to sing, me, and my cousin would sing duets on my little Karoake machine all nite long.
I didn't know, that all along, god was nursing my talents, and preparing me for what was ahead. I would sing anywhere, the living room school talent show, but the place that I will never foreget, was Spingarn Sr. High School 10th grade, where I met musical director, Dr. Emory Andrews, a man who groomed my talents as a pianist, and singer. He taught me how to identify and arrange harmonies, and the main thing, the true value of pitch. After I graduated I decided not to attend school but to chase the thing I loved the most which is music. In 2002 I was singing at Howard University, at an apollo audition, where I met a trio guy singing group called T.A.K.I.R, where Capital records own J.holiday was the lead singer, they later asked me to join, and so I did. Myself along with J.holiday, decided to rename the group 295. we sang background a few shows for multi-platinum artist ginuwine, where I got a little taste of what the spotlight really was, then and their, I knew what was for me. after the group disbanded in 2004, I met a group of guys by the name of Geno, Jay , and TJ. These guys had the same, if not better creative ability that I had. We tuned each others ability to produce, arrange and write songs. We later formed a band called Day 1, but after being fed up with the inconstantcies of groups, here I am, chasing my dream as a solo artist. Welcome 2 my world.
