J-Reddy consider his music as inspirational, motivational hip-hop. It's more musical than regular hip-hop, using lots of harmony and varied instrumentation, including guitars, which aren't so common in hip-hop.

J-Reddy does not categorize his music because it is Blues, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Gospel, Neo-Soul, and Rock ect. All the above.

J-Reddy began his musical voyage at 2 years of age accompanying his father Johnny C.Redmond while playing the bongos. Later on at 7 years of age, Jeff picked up the violin sung on the church choir did solo events and talent shows. At the age of 15 J-Reddy formed a band titled Virtue/The New breed.

By 2003, J-Reddy's catalogue of music had grown in masses and he debuted his album Solid Foundation.6 years later he released the sophmore album
J-Reddy Stay Reddy June 2009.

He has opened up for the S.O.S Band performed at Handlebar, The Brown Street Club and many other local venues.

J-Reddy credits his musical gift to his father the late legendary Johnny C. Redmond. J-Reddy's songs are positive messages, and that's a conscious effort by the artist.
