JayyJust, born Jazsmin Douglas, is the new face of Hip Hop and Mandopop (Hip Hop/Pop in Mandarin Chinese). What started out as a fundraiser for college tuition rekindled her love and passion for music and performing... and she is seriously turnin' heads.
In just a short time she has been dubbed the "Next International Superstar" by Ethnic Now, and was featured as "Artist of the Week" by Houston's top entertainment magazine the Houston Press.
There are no boundaries with this young star as she channeled her Asian alter ego MiiMii and set the international music scene a blaze with her first Mandopop single "Dance Floor" which hit the Music Forte world indie chart at #11 and held it's spot for over eight weeks.
JayyJust has been speaking Chinese for over five years and studied for a year in Taiwan at the Miaoli County Yuanli High School. She is also the co-coordinator for TECO's Taiwan Alumni Scholarship Association, and strives to bring cultures together through music and education.
