About Gabby Holt and The Hedges
Gabby Holt hails from the beaches of Lincoln City, Oregon. She grew up skateboarding and snowboarding. She began exploring the guitar at age 7. Family friend Tom Miller gave Gabby her Taylor as a parting gift when the Holts made the move to Portland. Gabby, now 13, decided she would hold on to music for the rest of her life. Influenced by the world around her, powder days at Mt. Hood and hours spent in the forest, Gabby began writing songs that reflected her respect and admiration for the wonders of the world. These songs would eventually become her first album, Harvest. In the summer of 2009, Gabby began playing and writing songs with drummer and long-time friend Evan Prochaska. The two found bassist Colin Mcarthur via craigslist, and after determining that he was not a serial killer, brought him in to complete the group. Gabby and the boys recently completed their first demo, the Harvest EP. They are preparing to play shows in Portland, OR, and all over the Northwest. Future projects, besides playing as many shows as possible, include; going on tour, recording Harvest (their full length album), finish writing their second album, and doing whatever it takes to get their music to the people.
