FRiJOLES Mi AMoR came to be in the summer of 2005. While Luke was waiting for his asada on the grill & his beans on the burner when, he took a moment to pickup the guitar & play a bit. Little did he know that Robbi G. was above strolling along the walkway with a pair of sticks in his back pocket. Robbi heard the guitar as he walked onward & begin to play out fills on the wrought iron fence. Luke heard Robbi's impressive drum fills, & they've been friends & makn up absurd songs since then. The first time they played at Gallagher's Irish Pub in Huntington, Beach. They brought with & gave away 50 bean & cheese burritos. It was key, considering alot of people had the munchies. They ate burritos with everybody around them. Robbi & Luke each had 3 or 4, one homeless guy ate 5 & big Kevin ate 7. F.M.A. love people, plants, animals, peaceful parties, beer, etc.... Between the realms of infatuation,obsession & insanity lie the words to define their condition for making music & sharing the love of beans!
FRIJOLES MI AMOR are best described as- QUIRKY! COMICAL! NON-SENSE! Friends have said they sound like a combo of many things Tenacious D after a smoke session / Flight of the Conchords meets So-Cal. FRijOLES MI AMOR love music all types!
