Erin Marie

Erin Marie was born on July 11th 1983 in Londonderry, NH. She lived there for the first eight years of her life. At the age eight her parents decided to move to Methuen, MA. This was a big change, but a good one. Erin Marie was in the 3rd grade when she moved to Methuen with her family. Moving to a new school was tough so her mother suggested taking an elective class such as band. So Erin Marie decided to try band class in hopes to meet some new friends at her new school. About six months into the school year the band teacher set up a meeting between Erin Marie and her parents. They all talked about Erin Marie and how she wasn’t doing well in band class. She didn’t like playing the flute. The band instructor suggested switching from band to chorus. Erin Marie thought about it and decided to give it a try. That was where it all began. From the moment Erin Marie walked into the chorus class she know that singing was something she loved to do. As she got older and moved onto high school she started singing more. Not only was there chorus class but Erin Marie would come home from school and practice all the time in her basement singing for anyone that would listen. Anytime she had friends over they would spend hours downstairs just singing and having a great time. “Anyone who was and still are close friends of mine know all about the karaoke parties we would have in my basement”- Erin Marie.
It wasn’t until Erin Marie was in college when she realized this dream that she had since being a little girl of making her own music, could actually happen. It took two of her good friends, who were always hearing her singing whenever she could, to say “Erin we have someone we want you to meet”. So they gave her the name of a local company in Lowell called Surefire Music Group and told her to call. She was nervous at first, but did call. Erin Marie set up a meeting with Surefire Music Group and the rest is history!

It has now been three years and Erin Marie, is working very hard and has come a long way. In 2009 Erin Marie started out the year being nominated for two awards at the 2009 Urban Music Awards in Boston, MA., followed by an article in the Boston Globe, Methuen Life, Nu’link’s Magazine, and MSM Magazine. Its now 2010 and Erin Marie has being touring opening for Making the band’s Donnie Klang! Along with all the performances Erin Marie is also in the studio working hard on her debut album titled “Past, Present, and Future”, but her hit single “Turn me up” is available on iTunes now! Success in the music business is very hard to come by, but Erin Marie is working very hard to make her dreams come true. “Gonna see where I’ve been and where I’m going, so just sit back and watch the ride.
