About En Progreso

Paramount, CA

En Progreso is a four piece rock en español band from Los Angeles, CA. It is composed of Felipe on vocals and lead guitar, Fernando on vocals and drums, Henry on bass, and Kevin on rhythm guitar. The name “En Progreso” has important meaning to the band for they feel that not only is music constantly evolving but so is life, the mind, soul, and world. This band formed in 2008 playing acoustically around the city in the Long Beach Pier, Santa Monica Pier, and in the various Cafe locations. During the summer of 2008, they recorded a demo album, “Día Cero”, with nothing more than a few microphones, a laptop, a small mixer, their instruments, and their passion for music. This song featured 11 original compositions by Felipe and demonstrated their ability to not only record with scarce resources but also their ability to play different styles including ballads, blues, rock, reggae, and pop. Since this demo, they have performed at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, private events, and festivals. Their influences include Mana, Jaguares, La Ley, Enanitos Verdes, Heroes del Silencio, Juanes, Cafe Tacuba, The Beatles, John Mayer, and Radiohead among others. They are currently in pursuit of a recording contract but there is no telling what this band can do with the amount of passion, dedication, and talent that they have for music.
