Portrait of DKUN FROST

Raleigh, NC

Many want to focus on what is out there in the world that is negatively impacting our youth and young adults, and by all means it is our purpose to stand against any vices that try to divide God’s children - everyone - from their assignment and destiny. DKUN FROST does not focus on everything that is wrong in the world, but accentuate everything that is right about God. This ministry, through music, is poised to be an asset to the Gospel industry for the upbuilding of the Kingdom of God. DKUN FROST (Pronounced “Deacon”) is an Independent Recording artist out of Raleigh, NC. DKUN has been rapping since 1989, but stopped rapping in 1991 when he first accepted Jesus into his life. Back then he didn’t have the knowledge and wisdom to see how this form of music could be used to impact our youth and young adults, but as time went on he felt the call of God upon his life to utilize this gift for the building of God’s kingdom.

Since 2000, he has been consumed with ministry opportunities and venues to reach and expose all people to the full and exact knowledge of God through this form of music, and the results have been Heaven-sent! The following are a few quotes from people who have shared with DKUN FROST in ministry, and have witnessed God in action during our ministry opportunities:

“Dkun Frost is everything a minister of the gospel should be. He carries himself with the Christ-like demeanor needed in order to build God's Kingdom using culture. He treats those around him with respect and love, and most importantly, his music moves people both physically and spiritually. You don't want to miss the opportunity to work with my friend Dkun Frost!” Bobby Bishop, Chosen/EMG/Universal Recording Artist –

"Dkun Frost? Never heard of him perhaps? Well, in this world, we have a small group of people that set the trends and a host of others who follow. I urge you to be the small group that can say, "I knew that dude back before he blew up. In fact, we booked him at our event and it was AWESOME!" No kidding! That's what we feel at Beatmart. Here's a guy that we are investing in. We have him on tour, developing plans for a record and making the groundwork for a new album campaign for the spring of 2006. Dkun Frost cares for God, family and career in that specific order. He is the one who will boldly tell your kids the truth - and not just what's popular at the time. If you want an affordable concert with meat, flair and substance, get in on the Dkun Frost train while it's still at the station. Tickets for the ride after this will cost much more! All aboard!" Troy Collins - President of Beatmart Recordings

"Dkun Frost is loaded with talent. Plain and simple. I've spent a number of years working with Christian hip hop artists and few have come across my path that can truly compete in the mainstream. Dkun is one of those few. With the right production team and record company push behind him, I honestly believe that he could be a Top 40 artist." Fab da Eclectic Producer

"If you want to experience spiritually sound, lyrically relevant music, look no further than Dkun Frost. Having had the pleasure of witnessing his passion for Christ through his ministry, I confidently state that others will undoubtedly be blessed!" Rev. M. Xavier Marshall A*K*A* Excelsius, Youth Pastor (Houston, Texas)

DKUN FROST caught his first big break when he was contacted by Beatmart Recordings artist Bobby Bishop during the summer of 2004 to share the stage at Bobby's "Show Luv" concert in Roxbury, MA. DKUN seized the opportunity to rock the mic in the midst of some of Christian rap's elite, including Mars Ill, Sev Static, Disciple and others. From there, he parlayed these connections and relationships and began to catch the attention of some industry players, namely Todd Collins at Beatmart. Todd loved his personality, character, and spirit. And although the winners were already picked to be featured on Beatmart's CD Best of the Submissions Vol. 2, Todd contacted DKUN with a personal invitation to feature a full-length song on the release. This partnership continued with a planned DKUN FROST Beatmart release in 2006, but a change of direction on the project caused DKUN to venture independently with his debut project.

"Against All Odds" was released on February 27th, 2007, and since its release has been getting great reviews and responses from secular and Gospel media. In addition to these, DKUN has had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in Christian rap today: Excelsius, Mars Ill, Canton Jones, Shakinah, Ziklag Boyz, Bobby Bishop, Verbal Witness, Sev Statik, Corey Red & Precise…..and many others.

DKUN FROST has performed at various Gospel and Holy Hip Hop venues, including, Texas HHH Achievement Awards 2006, as well as being invited to perform at the Holy Hip Hop Music Awards in Atlanta two consecutive years in a row (2005 & 2006). DKUN has been featured on numerous National released CD’s, including Beatmart Recordings Best of the Submissions V.3, Fresh Digress debut CD (Beatmart), James Daniels, Excelsius, Fedel, and many others. He present a lively, entertaining and positive way to express Christ. I promise that you would not be disappointed. DKUN FROST’s message is powerful and confrontational, challenging all those who listen, Christian and Non-Christians, to self-evaluate their condition and make a change, now. He takes personal the misleading and misrepresenting that has plagued the church for years. He burdens himself with the responsibility of uniting the body of Christ through the full, complete and exact knowledge of God, regardless of race, tradition, or denomination.

If youre looking for someone to just entertain your youth and young adults, youre looking in the wrong place - This is Ministry.
