About Destiny's Fire
Destiny’s Fire began in early 2009 when a trio of internet artists collaborated on their first song. It seems they were destined to play together.
Their first song by the same name immediately rose to No. 2 on Kickradio’s Top 10 New Music Charts and Show for “Best New Songs for May 2009”. On Kickradio's world charts, they were nominated No. 7 by a group of international music lovers. The song "Destiny's Fire" was immediately selected from 200 bands for inclusion on LegalTorrents (netlabel): A compilation of the Best of Indie Pop Vol. I. This song will soon be available on an international collaboration CD with Musicians Collaboration after being nominated for inclusion and will be available for purchase from on-line music stores. I can't seem to load "Destiny's Fire" here, but you can listen to the song on Casia's profile: http://www.ourstage.com/profile/casia
Casia has developed a reputation within the indie scene as a passionate writer of bittersweet lyrics. Coupled with Yolande Strauss’s hauntingly melodic voice and Adam Kirby’s arousing compositions and clear, crisp mixes, the listener is pulled along through the turmoil and passion of love and love loss. This combination has served them well. They are now working on their first album together which features: Destiny’s Fire, Sweet Sorrow and Never Thought. They already have another 10 songs burning in the fire at various stages of production.
“We want to share our songs with you with hopes of disturbing the universe. Your comments on our work would mean so much”….Casia xxx (peace and love).

Yolande started playing piano at the age of 5. She later played the saxophone with singing being one of her subjects throughout high school. Yolande belonged to a theatre group for three years (Alabama Student Company) and did about 60 performances per year throughout South Africa. The show consisted of popular music from around the world. After university she began performing as a solo artist, focusing mainly on Afrikaans Cabaret. Yolande tries to do one big show a year in Johannesburg to keep in close touch with the industry. She is currently involved in local community theatre playing keyboard, private functions and festivals.
Adam Kirby started playing violin at age 5 and picked up the oboe at age ten. Since 2003, he’s been composing music on a computer-based set-up mostly electronically created including live instruments in the mix. Adam has a strong interest in sound track scoring and post production which he hopes to turn into a full time career should the opportunity arise.
