About Carla Sloan
Hailing from a small town in the middle of a cornfield, Carla Sloan ahs been playing to audiences for over a decade. After spending ten years as she puts it "freezing in Minnesota" she decided to move back home to "thaw out." She has been entertaining people in local bars while going to nursing school. Music has always been important to her. "My grandma taught me how to yodel and play the juiceharp when I was young. She also taught me good music doesn't always mean the stuff on the radio."
Carla has been compared to Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin during her live shows. "When I was little I thought I could grow up to be Olivia Newton-John." Carla plays several times a month around the area, "the best feeling is getting paid to help people have a good time, sing and dance. It always makes me get a little choked up when folks are singing along to my songs." So come out and catch a girl who plays harder than most men would dare.
