About Bullet and Snowfox
Los Angeles, CA
After splitting from her former band Shut Up Stella (Epic Records), singer Kristen Wagner was frustrated with the major label machine. At the same time, guitarist Josh Shapiro was growing tired of bouncing around the L.A. circuit, cluttered as it is by musical flakes and terribly uninspired rock projects. Both were searching for something new and looking to make music on their own terms. After spending months sifting through the vast array of guitar players L.A. had to offer, Kristen finally found what she was looking for in her new partner-in-crime, Josh. They quickly discovered a mutual love for rock tunes with dance undertones and set about writing songs together. Introduced by a mutual friend to producer/co-writer, Baron Von Luxxury, the three locked themselves in the latter's Silver Lake home studio for two years and painstakingly crafted a set of new songs with a fresh new sound.
Now, at long last, having adopted the perfectly sweet and vicious moniker Bullet & Snowfox, (what does it mean? watch them live and you'll understand) and with influences from Siouxsie and the Banshees and Berlin to Elastica and Faith No More, they are ready to unleash their indie-dance-rock sound to the world. Their forthcoming self-released EP showcases their "every song should be a single" sensibility and blends bits of Dragonette, Blondie, The Ting Tings and Garbage, among others. Filling out the live band with producer von Luxxury on bass and Matteo Eyia on drums, Bullet & Snowfox bring an infectious energy to their shows that consistently leaves the audience jonesin' for more. In a very short period of time they have already played all over LA, from the East side hipster enclaves and Downtown parties to Sunset Strip institutions and the very finest (and only the finest!) L.A. strip clubs, and have quickly become fan favorites on the local scene.
Having found each other among a sea of dreamers wandering the streets of L.A., Bullet & Snowfox have set a course to conquer the galaxy on their electro rocketship, one astonishing song at a time.
