Bryan Ford & Goulet

About Bryan Ford & Goulet

Chicago, IL

Bryan Ford & Goulet is the live electronic-organic music collaboration between two multi-instrumentalist songwriters who have been creating music together for more than 15 years. Their sets are a continuous mix of original trip hop, mid-tempo and house music songs. Bryan switches between playing the drums and guitar. Geoff plays the Fender Rhodes keyboard and mini-Moog while simultaneously playing the bass. It is both interesting to watch and hear- their stage presence is infectious and invariably works the crowd into a frenzy.

Bryan Ford, is a gifted musician who writes & improvises on the drums, bass guitar, keys, and guitar. He has written music for multiple successful commercial releases including a Billboard dance hit that remained in the top 20 for more than 8 weeks (as part of the Lake Street Project). Additionally, Bryan has collaborated on deep house records with Stacey Kidd, Andre Harris and Jeremiah Seraphine on labels such as Masters at Work, Four Play Music, Music 101 and Revolutionary Music. Bryan’s single, Here All Along, featuring the vocalist Ava Fain (Bumpus, Lake Street Project), is the first single from the upcoming Revolutionary Music presents Organica Lounge compilation due out January 2010. He wrote or co-wrote seven of the fifteen songs on the album.

Bryan has been playing the guitar, bass guitar and drums for more than 20 years. He has toured the country numerous times with various bands. From 1994-2000 he was the lead singer/guitar for the 7 piece horn driven funk band, Isabelle Haze. From 2001-2003 he played guitar for Meg Lee Chin, the former lead singer/songwriter for Pigface. With Meg Lee Chin he toured the U.S. with the infamous Chicago ensemble, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. He played drums in a blues/rock outfit called the Badvibes from 2003-2008. He currently writes music and performs as the drummer/guitarist for Bryan Ford & Goulet and plays bass in the rock band Ain’t No Er Like A Stripper.

Goulet is a phenomenal bass player, pianist, turntablist, and audio engineer. Originally from Nowhere-In-Particular, Goulet grew up in a musically inclined household. His father is a conductor, his mother a classical musician, and his younger brother a top New York Jazz trombonist. He played in several bands including the funk/jazz fuson band Vertigo Co with Bryan Ford during his formative years from high school through college. He developed a passion for electronic music while learning digital editing and production. Goulet has worked with dozens of various regional bands in the studio as an audio engineer and acted as a producer on the artist’s albums. His remix credits include a well received drum and bass mix of Nate James’ Kingdom Falls, the title track from the 2007: URBAN MUSIC AWARDS Best Album. He wrote two of the songs on Revolutionary Music presents Organica Lounge and wrote two songs for an upcoming house music release for Revolutionary Music. All of these tracks are a part of Bryan Ford & Goulet's amazing set.
