WHO: Abby Travis, musical vixen of many hats: Critically acclaimed solo works include “The Abby Travis
Foundation”, “Cutthroat Standards & Black Pop”and “GlitterMouth.”
Travis has played bass and/or sang with Beck, Elastica, Spinal Tap, KMFDM ,Tito and Tarantula, Gibby Haines, The Original Sinners (Exene Cervenka) and was the touring bassist for The Bangles from 2005-2008 among others.
Travis’ catalogue was adapted for the musical “Little Black Veil” (2009).
She appears in plays by
local fave Justin Tanner as well as his web series “Ave 43”.

WHAT: “Abby Travis IV” (four) Travis’ forthcoming, full length, glitter pop rock opus. Abby composed, produced, and arranged “IV” which she calls her master work. References range from Todd Rundgren to
Burt Baccharat. Flavors of Queen, Eno, Wings, Alice Copper, Sparks, T Rex and The Bee Gees will delight
discerning ears. Travis sings, plays bass, keyboards and did much of the engineering on the album.
Additional musicians contributing to “Abby Travis IV” have worked with artists as varied as PIL, John
Legend, The Beastie Boys, Fiona Apple, Isaac Hayes, Morning Wood and Hawkwind.
