by Lisa Godino

Song I wrote, about a young orphan boy from the state of Ohio off to war in 1863. As he boards a train all the troubling thoughts that go threw his mind on that very long journey.

Strong bluegrass band backing you, interesting lyrical subject matter. The key to bluegrass vocals may be sounding somewhat "plain" without sounding uninteresting -- something Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs pull off with aplomb. (The songs themselves, more than the vocalist delivering them, tend to sell the material.) I enjoyed listening.
