by THE ROOTS UNION

West Coast Main Line is like an old time train song....Phillip Henry takes influence on harmonica from Sonny Terry and continues that tradition of innovation by bringing in some crazy beat boxing! West Coast Main Line is the train line that runs right up the west coast of the Uk.....

I really love this song. The opening harmonica solo is great but then it blend so well into the first verse. The words also fit the style so well and I love the fiddle and guitar sound as well.

Wow, what a cool opening. Some artist have trouble finding an energy to a song, but the opeing alone carries the song. Volcals are great too.

Freight train harmonica and some bluesy beatboxing open a song which is a delightfully surprising yearning for home
Excellent lyrics and a singer who is not afraid to stess the emotions of them, makes this a very involving track
I love the legato violin against the syncopated harmonica in the solo
In fact I love the whole thing.
