PlayPERFECT HEAVEN

by Kim Ayrie Morris

Unforgettable lyric, hook and message in this walking-pace, blues/rock anthem I wrote after coming home to USA from India- I had spent a couple months with a spiritual teacher who taught me some of the country's instruments. But coming back to USA was cathartic -- thus the lyric in this powerful, positive song of spiritual freedom and personal growth. The vocals and guitar, again, are perfection. RICH MOUSER- guitars

awesome jam, I must say again. I have a soft spot for baritone vocalist in my heart, as you can tell with our vocalist. I think female rock vocalist are awesome if they are talented, like your self, they can mesmerize audiences. You have a great voice. Oh and I agree with you on jamming til the day we DIE! I actually did not play guitar for fifteen years, for various reasons, but now that I picked up again I will continue to the day I die as well. I have no choice. I cannot and will not stop.

OK, people are asking, so here are the answers: I wrote the first version of this song in 1981/82 in San Francisco while in a pathetic, frustrating all female band. Recorded that version in 1983. Sat on it til 1987 when I met the amazing guitar player on this track- we recorded this version (the 2nd) in 1989/1990. Of course, imagine my having to contend with the ONLY master on a bloody cassette tape! So, my producer/engineer blood has come through for me- converted this and many other magnetic-tape-trapped songs into digital format- remastered- and, well, here we are. I believe a good song is timeless- so those of you who are freaked that I'm over 50, get over it! I still write and sing and ROCK as well as ever. In fact, the voice and lyrical abilities have grown! Who says Rock n' Roll life ends when you become a senior citizen? Bollocks! So....just enjoy the tune(s) and put aside your ageism. I'll be doing this til the day I go to the grave........PROMISE! (Just ask Dusty....

THIS TRACK IS BEST EXPERIENCED IN HEADPHONES - SUBS BOOSTED - ESPECIALLY THE VERY LAST NOTE....

I hope you will listen to the whole song- guitar is incredible middle and end! Also, understand that nearly ALL of my songs have been converted from 25+ year old cassette tapes, so, sound/mixes are sketchy. Comments more than welcome!
