I think this is a fine song, and I really like the intro. Too many songs are so worried about how the start should go, but this song has a great kick-off, and almost reminds me of how The Pixies started off Caribou with an odd guitar intro, but in reality, it gives the song a springboard into the great musical ether, where the notes prep the listener to get ready for the music, and to someone who already knows the song, the anticipation can be fun. Like in ACDC's You Shook Me All Night Long, Angus Young starts off with a guitar intro that is never repeated in the rest of the song, but, again, it just seems to work, and the song would have been too rushed otherwise with out it.
I see what BooeyH means, it's a bit like one of those films that start straight in then play the titles ten minutes later There is an almost-live rawness to this track, and I've alway liked this type of voice Nice track.
I almost voted for the other in this head to head because of the uninteresting intro. This artist might consider losing that non-musical intro and just get on with the fine music that follows.
