Piano melody and playing is beautiful. Instrumentation is really great. The lyrics are solid. Basically the vocalist's style just doesn't match the vibe of the music for me. The potential is there but stylistically this Creed like sound of pronouncing words makes it sound dated and just unnecessary stylistically. There are sweet spots that are nice vocally but something about the vocal execution on this song doesn't sound relevant or current enough with today's hits.

Eric delivers as always with a powerful ballad that make you wish he was singing to you.

There's something almost heart-breaking with how the simple, vulnerable, pure emotion of this song is wrapped so tenderly in the melody and phrases and tied up so gently with the string accompaniment. The vocals, somehow, convey that the future beyond the margins of the song will be a beautiful vista if only the intended listener (lucky, lucky person!) dares to accept all that's being offered.
