This is a song about the state of our world and what we can do help it ..A positive and powerful track off the self released album "Undeniable" by the world rock group SolSpeak!
Yeah, this is SO MUCH BETTER!! Had to pop back and listen again. I really like your bluesy-country-jazz voice! I KNEW you had more resonance under all that!! I'm so happy for you all. Good luck!! This is a GREAT song...
I want to clarify my comment… I actually have placed you first in many battles. And, I do think the song is great. I just think working on the mix, perhaps would make the vocals (which are very pretty) stand out more.
OK, you came up for me again: I had more to say, so bear with me here. For some reason, your engineer didn't separate each instrument and the vocals frequency-wise enough to get clarity between them in the mix- there's very little dimension- everything sounds like it's at the same depth. Good mixes feel like the instruments are staggered in space, you know? You can easily discern what is what and nothing steps on anyone elses' toes enough to drown out either. This drum mix sucks the big one. Your vox coould soar - they don't here. The backup vox are indiscernable....I could go on. MY INTENTIONS are genuine- I really like the song and it pisses me off to hear mediocre engineering/mix/production with something so easily made spectacular! I hope you will try some of my suggestions and do a remix with more talent behind the board. KIM
I REALLY LIKE THIS SONG! I also only partially agree with KatZen - there's a big problem with this mix, but I don't think it's can hear the pitch or vox level. It's the EQ and the mix itself. This singer has much more resonance in her voice than what is shown here. The EQ isn't bringing out her best frequencies- and the lame reverb and double just wash her tonal qualities down the drain. The whole mix is funky (not good funky, yucky funky)- I smell either an inexperienced engineer or an uninspired, perhaps simply untalented person behind the board. At 3:19 the vox are alone for a few seconds and I can hear the squished EQ. SolSpeak: take this great lazy blues to a higher level! I think it could shine with some changes. GOOD LUCK! kim
