Originally written about a close friend's struggle with mental illness, "Gravity" was recently reworked and adapted with a lyrical counter-line, to suggest an ending love story and the forces pulling apart a failing relationship. In both cases the theme is obsession, as well as the painful upheaval of emotions caused by events outside of our control.
