The melody and harmony for this song popped into my head when I was on a cruise ship at thirteen years old. I kept humming it and asking my family what song it was. When it became evident that I had made it up, I always knew I had something special. It wasn't until I was nineteen years old, however, that I wrote the lyrics and dedicated it to my husband. It remains one of his favorite songs today.
