Musically this song is a bit of Goth, Electronica and Industrial. Though I usually write using midi and I quantize almost everything this song is played live to tape with a few overdubs. Using a 16 track recorder I finished recording all the keyboards and then flipped the tape over and ran the song backwards. While running backwards I recorded the guitars and effects. This gave the songs it's backward mask effects.
