PlayCross The Line

AC Thundertones plays the game for real on Crossed the Line. The vocals and lyrics make the track interesting to listen to as dark dawns into the light. I am sucker for the Beatle harmonies and the audio excerpts from 911 calls,and various soundbites make this track multi-dimensional. This song was a big undertaking and it shows what can happen if you focus on your craft. The subject matter is not a love song which for me takes an artist in a direction not comforting but rather courageous. That is the real world and this track plays the game for real.

This song is on the dark side as it is about a kid who plays violent video games. Sick of being picked on at school, he begins to really identify with this game. FINALLY he "plays the game for real" and is a sad statistic who ends up shooting people in a school or something. There are sound bytes from Columbine, The highway shooter, John Wayne Gacy and George W Bush (All are public domain) in the bridge section. These are definiteley people who have "Crossed the Line."

Cool tune. Reminds me a tad of Alice in Chains and Nine inch Nails.

This tune is about a picked on kid in high school who plays very violent video games amd finally loses it and "becomes" to play the game for real. Yikes! Nothing against video games but a troubled mind can make for a troubles kid. The sound bites in the middle of the tune are from Columbine High, The Highway Shooter in Virginia and the infamous John Wayne Gacy. Sick I know but I wanted to prtray the worst of demented minds who lose it and start killing people
