SIT SIDEWAYS: THE STORY
Our friend Noel's dad died suddenly, which was heartbreaking. I remember going to the memorial and wondering how he could handle it. A few months later, about 30 of us went on a houseboat trip and I wrote the lyrics to this song anticipating this trip. When my mom heard this song she was bothered that I was advocating drinking as a means of handling grief. But sometimes things happen in life that are so big, it's okay to go numb for a minute.
