PlayEngländer im Odenwald

by Die Vielharmoniker

The title track of our EP, this is a cover of Sting's "Englishman in New York", with lyrics written specifically for Toby and Matt, our 2 Englishmen who feature on this track. It tells of their integration into the quaint Odenwald region of Germany, where they must give up their English tea in favour of Äbbelwoi (apple wine) and also of the dialect problems they encounter. It's a fun song! Enjoy!

It does lose something, I guess, but as we're 2 English guys singing it, it's self-deprecation! We actually wrote an English version too - might put that up later. :o)
