PlayTHE BLOOD REMEMBERS

by LANA CHAPEL

I wrote this song to explain why we know & feel unusual things & are born with gifts & talents we can't explain.-Such as my ability to play Native American flute the first time I picked one up!(I play the two parts in this song.)Some say it's reincarnation, or psychic recall, some say genetic memory. One explanation of genetic memory is that "the blood remembers", and it was given to me by an Apache woman
whose grandmother told her. It struck home & I see it as a very simple & beautiful explanation.

Lana, I can surely identify with this comcept. I too could play the Native American flute the first time I held one as if I had always held one! Yes, gifts are sent to us for a reason and what we do with these gifts makes us who we are
