About the Artist
Philadelphia-born, self-taught musician Nick Mundy started his musical odyssey at the young age of seventeen as a lead singer and guitarist for London Records Family Group, “The Beck Family.” Nick continued his journey with another Philadelphia Family Group “Sister Sledge”, as their musical director and guitarist. In 1984, he released his first 12-inch single titled “Ain’t It Alright”. In 1985 he was signed by Benny Medina of Warner Brothers Records and released his first solo album titled
“Your Kind of Guy”.
Nick co-wrote and produced songs for Chico DeBarge, Janice Ian, Judy Mowatt, Sheena Easton, Jeffery Osborne, Color Me Badd, Kashif, Gina Go Go Gomez, Alexander O’neill, John Pagano, Wild Orchid & Fergie, Eric Benet, Latoya Jackson, Phil Perry, Carl Thomas, Motion & Tony Terry, and Jeremy Jordan.
In August 2008, Blackyard Productions was proud to release the long awaited, self-written CD
“Just Songs”.
With the CD, Nick’s fans can truly appreciate his multi-faceted, genre-crossing artistry.
