About the Artist
Southern Illinois, Indiana & California bred singer/songwriter Melissa Rose Ziemer spent 9 years in the Windy City of Chicago fronting the bands 'Soul Intention', 'Gertrude' and 'The Juleps'. She released her first solo EP in 2003 titled 'Not All Black & White' which she toured extensively behind in the UK and throughout the Midwest, garnering a substantial amount of press regarding her musical arrangements, songwriting and strong yet subtle, smooth vocals. Often backed by the finest in Americana, Roots Rock & Jazz, Ziemer (pronounced 'Zeemer', or simply 'Melissa Rose') is equally comfortable in the folk and singer/songwriter genre as she is in the rock, pop and country categories.
