In less than a year, Los Angeles based rock band, Elyse and the Aftermath, has shared the stage with Terri Nunn and Berlin, twice.
In an era over saturated with Britney’s, Lady Ga Ga’s, and other power pop females, Elyse proves that chicks can still hold their own in the rock scene with their debut album, The Aftermath. Elyse’s raw and vivacious vocals are centerpiece of each track, perfectly blending sassy lyrics constructed from personal experiences from which Elyse isn’t afraid to hold back.
Undoubtedly one of LA's hottest unsigned pop-rock acts, the prolific songstress /musician and her Aftermath managed to record a major label quality album on a shoe-string budget, a dream with a few legendary industry veterans in their back pocket.
With Mark Needham's incomparable mixing (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day) and Grundman Mastering (Thriller etc...), the self-titled album, The Aftermath, was just released this April to rave reviews.
The production features Brett Chassen & Bob Kulick (KISS, Dave Grohl, Motorhead) with Elyse as executive producer. The players include Dave Schulz (Goo Goo Dolls, Berlin) on keys, sounds and synth, Hodges (discovered by Rob Thomas-Atlantic Records) and of course the live and studio Aftermath band- Greg Pajer on guitar, Andrew James on bass, and Blake Paulson on drums.
