Chuck Bailey began writing music at age 14, and playing the blues live since age 16. Chuck has studied Music Composition, and Guitar at UMKC's Conservatory of Music. Writing and performing mainly in the Blues format; Chuck has an extensive catalog featuring string quartet, clarinet quintet, and other traditional string arrangements. The lush sounds of his instrumental guitar works, reminiscent of 50's style, to his more traditional accoustic blues, including modern electric blues that favor traditional lyric and chordal styles. Chuck is affiliated with BMI as a writer.
Chuck accredits his influences of Sam Bailey, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, BB King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, Santo and Johnny, Lonnie Ray, Ray Charles, Eric Satie, David Gilmour, and whost of others for his vast variety of musical taste.
