The band was founded by guitarist/vocalist Daniel Brecher, and drummer Aviv Cohen. Both were well known in the Israeli music scene, recording and performing with top selling Israeli artists.
05/2009 - DSF's independent debut 'What's Born in the Basement' is released online through DRUGSTOREFANATICS.com for free download
04/2010 - Drugstore Fanatics play their debut show at the famous Hollywood venue The Troubadour joined by Ryan Collier (formerly of Opus Dai and Revolve) on bass and Koichi Fukuda (formerly of Static-X) on guitar.
09/2010 - After playing more shows in LA, DSF venture out to the south west throughout the year. The band is joined by Chicago guitarist Ryan Richko in December
09/2010 - Reaching 5000 downloads, DSF released the Ebook “How We Made A Studio Grade Album For $190” revealing the techniques behind the creation of 'What's Born in the Basement'. The Ebook is spread by the DIY community and bloggers like Derek Sivers, founder of CD Baby and social network marketing guru Bob Baker
11/2010 - Drugstore Fanatics release the naked tracks from their album for fans to download and remix.
5/5/2011 - The songs Hangman and Bullet are released for sale on the Rock Band Network in collaboration with DLC Quickplay. Hangman is sold and downloaded over 500 times in the first month of release
Drugstore Fanatics are working on new music as well as a remix compilation with remixes done by fans which they intend to release in 2011.
