Portrait of Aces To Ashes
Aces to Ashes got it’s start in 2006 when XTC and Freak decided to make their own style of metal. Thus, Blood Drive was born. For about a year, XTC and Freak tryed unsuccessfully to keep anything going. Then they met Dzl. The first thing asked of him, “Can you play bass?” to which he he said, “No, but I’ll try!”. The next step came when Twick just happened to walk into the garage one day because he heard metal music. The band played together for another year under the now known name, Aces to Ashes.

Then came another piece of the puzzle. At a local show when Psyn, then of the band City Ablaze, fell in love with the sound and potential that was and is Aces to Ashes.

The final person to be added was Jolt, a fast acting kid with turrets. Don't let that fool you though. His melody brings out the true potential of Aces to Ashes.

Aces to Ashes has since played numerous gigs around the Midwest, and is currently writing for their first full-length LP. Much is to come out of this band from the Chicago Suburbs
