Portrait of Nobodys Hero
Nobody’s Hero is a band that is as refreshing and new as it is classic and familiar. Their street punk sound reminds you of days when bands actually cared about what they sang about and didn’t concern themselves with who heard it. Playing with such conviction and heart is what makes Nobody’s Hero the genuine article. A band comprised of members from different areas of the punk scene (former members of The Vandals, Against All Authority, Guajiro) , their experience shines through in their music.
The idea for the band started when frontman Joe Koontz & drummer Doug McKinnon began writing material as a side project. The songs quickly gained momentum and it was clear that a full band was needed. With guitarist Dave Santos and bassist Rod Rushka on board, Nobody’s Hero charged ahead and live shows soon followed.
Intense performances and a solid fanbase made promoters take notice, allowing Nobody’s Hero to share the stage with national acts such as Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front and Joe Coffee. With a West Coast tour under their belt and future tour plans already in the works, the Nobody’s Hero gang looks forward to taking their sound to the streets, where it belongs.
