Mitch Clark aka Mitchy Millz is a recording artist, producer, DJ, marketing and web developer, sound designer, and graphic designer.
Mitch first got interested in music when he started taking piano lessons at age 6. By the time he was 12 he was already gigging talent contests, playing original music as well as covers. He went on to play piano his high school's jazz band. He has been in a number of bands over the years, the most notable of which include: The Apex Crew, For Fear Itself, Rough Gum Rhythm, and The Brave Cashews Band (Dave Matthews Cover Band).
About this time Mitch started getting into electronic music, fascinated with all the automation and sound design that goes into creating it. He started producing and DJing on the side, and eventually started gigging under the alias Mitchy Millz. Since then Mitchy Millz has become one of the rising names to watch in EDM.
It's tough to categorize Mitchy Millz into one genre of music. With a background rooted in playing jazz and hiphop, Mitchy Millz is known for unique incorporation of dubstep wobble bass with hiphop swagger, with references to progressive house, moombahton, and glitch music as well. Often times many elements of his tracks are processed so that the sound like samples even though they are original recordings, an idea borrowed from fellow Philly artist The Roots. His latest work incorporates live looping and singing, creating a pop/EDM fusion that crushes dancefloors everywhere.
Now in the process of finishing up his debut album, he also works for Rocketball Music as a producer and marketing consultant, helps develop content for Impact Soundworks, and writes album and show reviews for the music blog The Correspondence, as well as working on various freelance music production jobs. He also works closely with the Law Office of Simon Rosen, Philly entertainment law firm.
He has done a lot of mixing and mastering for various artists and labels, including Jahlil Beats' hiphop and EDM label Tandem Records, and Steve Aoki's EDM label Dim Mak. On the promotions and bookings side he has worked with Actual Records, Deathwaltz Media Group, Fuxxwitus EDM, Steez Promo, Funkadelphia, Ambitious Empire, Sagg Lyfe, and many more.
On top of this he also works as a music production consultant and collaborator with DC-based studio and media conglomerate Midi East, works for many Philadelphia concert venues on live sound, promotions and bookings, and entertains the Philadelphia party scene with late night DJ sets.
Mitch is currently finishing up his debut album and booking dates for a 2016 summer tour. For any inquiries contact email@example.com.
